The CBSA launches investigations into the alleged dumping of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resin from China and Pakistan and its subsidization by China

Based on a complaint submitted by Compagnie Alpek Polyester Canada (Alpek) the CBSA announced today that it will look into polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resin from China and Pakistan and if these goods are being sold at unfair prices in Canada or if they're being subsidized.

The CBSA and CITT will investigate at the same time; the CITT will issue a decision by May 16, 2025 and the CBSA will make a preliminary decision by June 17, 2025.
