The Technical Commercial Client Unit (TCCU) of the Canada Border Services Agency will be closed on the Civic holiday on Monday, August 6, 2018.  For urgent client service outside business hours and statutory holidays, please contact the TCCU hotline at 1-888-957-7224  and your enquiry will be answered by a TCCU officer.

For brokers and importers: CADEX reports will run the evenings of Friday, August 3, 2018 and Monday, August 6, 2018.  B3 entries processed and accepted August 6, 2018 will appear on the daily notice (DN) on Tuesday, August 7, 2018.  ARL will not be impacted by the August 6, 2018 Civic Holiday.  The exchange rates from Saturday, August 4, 2018 through Tuesday, August 7, 2018 (inclusive) will remain unchanged.

For the purposes of calculating the accounting period, August 06, 2018 will be considered a holiday for all provinces/territories except Quebec and Yukon and any late accounting penalties will be waived without the client having to submit an application.  This applies to transactions released from July 28, 2018 to August 06, 2018, and where the client’s office of central accounting is in the affected provinces. Any other clients who may have received late accounting penalties due to the holiday should apply for a waiver to the Recourse Directorate at fax # 343-291-7239.

Should you have any questions concerning late accounting penalties, please contact Ashlee Bradbury (343) 291-7236 or Amit Jaitly (343) 291-7185.
