CBSA Message (TCC19-088) - Contact Information for Single Window Initiative (SWI), Integrated Import Declaration (IID)

Clients Affected: All importers and brokers

To receive the appropriate assistance for SWI IID transactions that have been rejected, it is important that you contact the correct resource as follows:

  • A 4B9 reject issued by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) means that the reject has been generated by the CFIA, and for which the CBSA is unable to provide troubleshooting assistance. For assistance, please contact the CFIA’s National Import Service Center at 1-800-835-4486 (Canada or U.S.A.) or 1-289-247-4099 (local calls and all other countries).
  • For all other rejects (i.e. any reject that does not include the 4B9 reject code), please call the Technical Commercial Client Unit (TCCU) hotline at 1-888-957-7224, Option #1 for EDI or your service provider.

If you require policy guidance with regard to any Participating Government Agency or Department (PGA) Program that is involved in SWI, please send your email to: [email protected] for a response.
