CBSA seizes 187 kg of cocaine at the Blue Water Bridge

On June 12, 2025 CBSA border services officers at the Blue Water Bridge port of entry, with the assistance of a detector dog, performed a secondary inspection on a commercial vehicle from the US. During that inspection they discovered 161 bricks of suspected cocaine, weighing 187 kg, with an estimated street value of $23.3 million.

The CBSA arrested an Ontario resident who has been charged by the RCMP with Importation of Cocaine, and Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

To date this year, CBSA border services officers have seized a total of 978 kg of cocaine at Southern Ontario ports of entry.
