CBSA System Implications - Pac Hwy - 813 / Metro - 809

Following is a message from the Metro Vancouver District (809) - Commercial Operations, Operations Branch, Canada Border Services Agency

The Metro Vancouver District will not be processing A48 RMD Corrections to update the port of release to 809 (with an 809 subloc), when FPOA (813) release was originally intended and the release requests and cargo were transmitted as such.

We would ask that unless a hard copy A8A was processed to move the cargo from 813-809, that you continue to transmit your release requests to Pac Highway (813) as the entries are eventually updating and releasing in our systems.

The only exception to this would be cargo that was originally reported to CBSA to be an inland 809 clearance , and the highway cargo was transmitted as such by the carrier (813-809).

Officers reviewing the transmitted entries for 809 will receive a mismatch error when the cargo was originally reported to release at Pac Hwy, and will be unable to process the entries.  In these instances, we have asked that the officers reject these entries with the comments  “Please transmit your entry to 813, as the cargo is still on file at Pac Hwy (813)”.
