CBSA Webinar on the Digitalization and Technology Neutral Regulatory Review

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is pleased to inform you that we are co-hosting a webinar with Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS) on the Targeted Regulatory Reviews and are seeking your input.

Announced in Budget 2018, the three-year Targeted Regulatory Review process explores ways to enable more agile, transparent and responsive regulations, while continuing to protect the health and safety of Canadians and the environment.

In doing so, the Government is asking Canadians to identify regulatory impediments to innovation and economic growth and opportunities to support regulatory innovation and modernization. The current round of regulatory reviews will focus on (1) Digitalization and technology neutrality, (2) Clean technology, and (3) International standards.

The CBSA invites you to attend our bilingual webinar scheduled for Thursday, August 15, 2019.

This webinar has been designed to provide additional information and guidance on how to provide your comments through the Canada Gazette process. Please note that you are receiving this email as you have been identified as having potential interest in digitalization and technology neutrality in the import/export sectors.

After you register, you will receive an email with a password and instructions for the webinar. Please note that the number of participants will be limited to 200 people for each webinar. We encourage you to register early.

Should you be interested in learning more about the Targeted Regulatory Reviews but are unable to attend the webinar, you are encouraged to reach out to the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat at [email protected]

We encourage you to provide your input on the Canada Gazette notice by September 5, 2019.
