The Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) course

If you have visited our Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) course webpage recently, you might have noticed a few changes to improve the clarity of our eligibility prerequisites. Did you know that currently 35% of our CCS students are not employed by members

These students work in other parts of the supply chain, including for importers and exporters.

At the CSCB, we are passionate about ensuring that we create the conditions to enable a student’s success. We have clarified the information about CCS prerequisites to assist potential students to assess their eligibility if they are not currently employed by a CSCB member.

We recognize that many members have staff who are not engaged in daily brokerage operations, but who would benefit from the CCS course, such as accounting or sales. Rest assured that the changes to our eligibility requirements will not affect your ability to educate your staff, and we will continue to be guided by your assessment of your employee’s capacity to complete the CCS curriculum.

If you have any questions or concerns on the changes, please do not hesitate to contact the [email protected]
