CFIA-AIRS Updates, 14 June

A) Chapter 10 was published to:

i)  change the release recommendation from “Refuse Entry” to “Refer to CFIA-NISC” for the following HS code with the end use “Propagation (growing or sowing)” and the miscellaneous codes “Small "lots"” and “Other than small "lots" / Non-authorized importer”. 

10.06.10.0101 - Cereal - Rice - seed. 

This created a requirement version change for the following HS code.

10.08.50.0089 - Cereal - Quinoa - seed.

ii) change the release recommendation from "Approved” to “Refer to CFIA-NISC" for the following HS codes with the end uses "Livestock feed” and “Further Processing”, originating from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and Hong Kong.

10.05.90 - Maize (corn): Other 
10.06.1001.02 - Cereal - Rice - grain
10.07.90 - Grain sorghum: Other

This created a requirement version change for the same HS codes originating from all countries except the United States. 

iii) add registration types and modify the import conditions for the following HS codes with the end uses "Livestock feed” and “Further processing” originating from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and Hong Kong. 

10.01.19 - Durum wheat: Other
10.01.99 - Other
10.02.90 - Rye Other
10.03.90 - Barley: Other
10.04.90 - Oats: Other
10.08.10.0104 - Cereal - Buckwheat - grain
10.08.60.0084 - Cereal - Triticale - grain

This created a requirement version change for the same HS codes originating from all countries except the United States.

B) Chapter 11 was published to change the release recommendation from "Approved” to “Refer to CFIA-NISC" for the following HS codes with the end uses "Livestock feed” and “Other end uses" originating from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and Hong Kong.

11.01.00 - Wheat or meslin flour. 
11.02.20 - Maize (corn) flour .
11.02.90 - Other. 
11.03.11 - Groats and meal: Of wheat.
11.03.13 - Groats and meal: Of maize (corn). 
11.03.19 - Groats and meal: Of other cereals.

C) Chapter 12 was published to:

This created a requirement version change for the following HS codes originated from all countries except the United States.
