CFIA-AIRS Updates, 18 June

Chapter 03 was published to change the release recommendation to “Refuse Entry” for the following HS code with the end uses “Research and educational use”, “Aquarium – commercial”, “Aquarium – private”, “Display in a zoo or public aquarium”, “Diagnostic testing”, “Outdoor holding unit – commercial”, “Outdoor holding unit – private” originating from the states of Florida and Texas.

03.06.36.4847.90 -  Litopenaeus vannamei - TSN 551682 - Whiteleg shrimp (non-ready-to-eat, live or head on and shell on) (live, fresh or chilled).

This created requirement version change within the following HS code.

03.06 - Crustaceans, whether in shell or not, live, fresh, chilled, frozen, dried, salted or in brine; smoked crustaceans, whether in shell or not, whether or not cooked before or during the smoking process; crustaceans, in shell, cooked by steaming or by bo crustaceans, fit for human consumption
