Chapter 23 was published to :
i) change the release recommendation from “Refer to CFIA - NISC” to “Refuse entry” for the following HS codes with the end uses “Samples for testing”, “Show or exhibition” and “To be fed to sled dogs for competitions taking place north of the 60th parallel.” originating from all countries except Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Cyprus, Cuba, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Korea, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tokelau Islands (territory of New Zealand), Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States and Uruguay.

iii) modify the import conditions for the following HS codes with the end uses “Other end uses”, “Samples for testing”, “Show or exhibition” and “To be fed to sled dogs for competitions taking place north of the 60th parallel” originating from New Zealand.

23.09.90.1573 - Raw or Minimally heat treated pet food.
iv) remove the following OGD extensions.
23.09.10.1574.01 - Containing raw materials of avian origin
23.09.10.1574.02 - Containing raw materials other than avian origin
23.09.90.1573.01 - Containing raw materials of avian origin
23.09.90.1573.02 - Containing raw materials other than avian origin
