CFIA-AIRS Updates April 21st, 2021

Chapter 03 was published to change the release recommendation from “Refuse entry” to “Refer to CFIA - NISC” for the following HS codes with the end uses “Food service” and “Retail use” originating from Chile.

03.07.32.9049 - Other Mussel species not listed (Frozen). 
03.07.39.9049 - Other Mussel species not listed (other). 
03.07.71.5277 - Taxonomic Name starting with Me (cont.).

03.07.71.9050 - Taxonomic Name starting with Ta (cont.).

This created a requirement version change for various HS codes under:

03.07.11 - Oysters : live, fresh or chilled.

03.07.19 - Oysters : Other.
03.07.21 - Scallops, including queen scallops, of the genera Pecten, Chlamys or Placopecten: Live, fresh or chilled.
03.07.22 - Scallops: Frozen.
03.07.29 - Scallops, including queen scallops, of the genera Pecten, Chlamys or Placopecten: Other.
03.07.31 - Mussels (Mytilus spp., Perna spp.): Live, fresh or chilled.
03.07.32 - Mussels (Mytilus spp., Perna spp.): Frozen.
03.07.39 - Mussels (Mytilus spp., Perna spp.): Other.
03.07.71 - Clams, cockles and ark shells (families Arcidae, Arcticidae, Cardiidae, Donacidae, Hiatellidae, Mactridae, Mesodesmatidae, Myidae, Semelidae, Solecurtidae, Solenidae, Tridacnidae and Veneridae) : Live, fresh or chilled.
