CFIA-AIRS Updates February 23rd, 2022

A) Chapter 01 was published to change the release recommendation from “Refuse Entry” to “Refer to CFIA - veterinary inspection” for the following HS codes originating from Poland.

01.06.39.2098 - Pigeons and doves over 3 days old. 
01.06.39.2099 - Pigeons and doves less than 3 days old.

This created a requirement version change for the same HS codes originating from Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Portugal and Saint Pierre and Miquelon.

B) Chapter 35 was published to change the release recommendation from “Approved” to “Refer CFIA - NISC” for the following HS codes with the end uses “Animal Feed”, “Human consumption”, “Further Processing”, “Other end uses”, “Samples for testing”, “Scientific use (research)” and “Show or Exhibition” and the miscellaneous code “Not more than 20 kg - processed egg products” originating from the United States.

35.02.11.0286 - Containing 100% egg albumin.
35.02.11.0287 - Containing at least 50% and less than 100% egg albumin.
35.02.19.0289 - Frozen egg albumin.
35.02.19.0290 - Liquid egg albumin.

C) Chapter 94 was published to add the following OGD extensions.

94.03.91.0130 - Articles without bark and made of processed wood materials (material subjected to conditions such as heat, glue, pressure or any combination thereof).
94.03.91.0131 - Articles without bark and made of unprocessed wood materials.
94.03.91.0132 - Articles with bark.

This created a requirement version change for the following HS code.

94.03.60 - Other wooden furniture.
