Chapter 12

Chapter 12 was published to:

i) change the release recommendation from “Refuse entry” to “Refer to CFIA-NISC” for the following HS codes with the end uses “Human consumption” and “Further processing” and the miscellaneous code “With soil or related matter (including growing media not approved under the CGMP)” originating from the State of New York.

12.11.90.3034.01 – Mint – with or without roots (fresh or chilled).
12.11.90.3035 – Basil – with or without root (fresh or chilled).
12.11.90.3036 – Rosemary – with or without roots (fresh or chilled).
12.11.90.3037 – Sage – with or without roots (fresh or chilled).

ii) modify the import conditions for the following HS codes with the end uses “Human consumption” and “Further processing” and the miscellaneous code “With soil or related matter (including growing media not approved under the CGMP)” originating from various States within the United State with the exception of the State of New York.

12.11.90.3034.01 – Mint – with or without roots (fresh or chilled).
12.11.90.3035 – Basil – with or without root (fresh or chilled).
12.11.90.3036 – Rosemary – with or without roots (fresh or chilled).
12.11.90.3037 – Sage – with or without roots (fresh or chilled).

iii) modify the registration type list for the following HS codes with the end use “Propagation (growing or sowing)” and the miscellaneous code “Other than small “lots”/ Authorized importer” originating from all countries.

12.07.70.0071 – Watermelon seeds
12.07.70.0072 – Watermelon seeds – Organic
12.07.70.0099 – Other melon seeds
12.07.70.0100 – Other melon seeds – Organic
