A) New miscellaneous codes

AIRS was published to add the following miscellaneous codes:

989 – From a regulated area for P. ramorum
990 – From a non-regulated area for P. ramorum

B) Chapter 03

Chapter 03 was published to change the release recommendation from “Refuse Entry” to “Approved” for the following HS codes with the end uses “Food services” and “Retail use” originating from Saudi Arabia:

03.02.89.4571.52 – Lates calcarifer – TSN 167669 – Barramundi (fresh or chilled).
03.03.89.4571.52 – Lates calcarifer – TSN 167669 – Barramundi (frozen).
03.06.17.4847.90 – Litopenaeus vannamei – TSN 551682 – Whiteleg shrimp (non-ready-to-eat, head on and shell on) (frozen).

C) Chapter 06

Chapter 06 was published to:

i) change the release recommendation from “Refer to CFIA-NISC” to “Approved” for the following HS codes with the end use “Other end uses” originating from the state of California:

06.04.20.0045.33 – Foliage, branches – fresh – Pine (Pinus spp.).
06.04.20.0047.04 – Foliage, branches – fresh – dyed, bleached or otherwise prepared – Pine (Pinus spp.).
06.04.20.0143.03 – Pine – christmas trees (Pinus spp.).
06.04.20.0144.03 – Pine – fresh wreath > 1.5cm (0.6in) branch diameter (Pinus spp.).

ii) modify the import conditions of the following HS codes with the end use “Other end uses” originating from the state of California:

06.04.20.0045.31 – Foliage, branches – fresh – Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga spp.).
06.04.20.0046.31 – Foliage, branches – Fresh – Scribbly gum (Eucalyptus haemastoma).
06.04.20.0047.17 – Foliage, branches – fresh – dyed, bleached or otherwise prepared – Eucalyptus.
06.04.20.0143.02 – Douglas fir – christmas trees (Pseudotsuga spp.).
06.04.20.0144.02 – Douglas fir – fresh wreath > 1.5cm (0.6in) branch diameter (Pseudotsuga spp.).

iii) remove the miscellaneous codes “From a non-regulated area for light brown apple moth or P. ramorum” and “From a regulated area for P. ramorum but not for light brown apple moth” from the following HS codes with the end use “Other end uses” originating from the state of California:

iv) add the miscellaneous codes “From a non-regulated area for P. ramorum” and “From a regulated area for P. ramorum” to the following HS codes with the end use “Other end uses” originating from the state of California:

D) Chapter 20
