CFIA-AIRS Updates May 7th, 2024

Chapter 05 was published to:

i) change the release recommendation from “Refer to CFIA-NISC” to “Refuse Entry” for the following HS codes with the end use “Other end uses” originating from all origins except Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the United States: 

05.10.00.1286.01 – Avian (bird)
05.10.00.1286.03 – Bovine (cattle)
05.10.00.1286.04 – Caprine (goat)
05.10.00.1286.06 – Equine (horse)
05.10.00.1286.07 – Ovine (sheep)
05.10.00.1286.10 – Lagomorph (rabbit)

ii) change the release recommendation from “Refer to CFIA-NISC” to “Refuse Entry” for the following HS codes with the end use “Other end uses” originating from Argentina, Bolivia, Belize, Bermuda, Chile, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Japan, Nicaragua, Panama and Uruguay:

05.10.00.1286.08 – Porcine (swine)
