A) Chapter 05

Chapter 05 was published to :

i) change the release recommendations to “Refuse entry” for the following HS codes with the end uses “Breeding”, “In transit through Canada” and “Other end uses” originating from Japan:

05.11.10.1290 – Frozen bovine semen.
05.11.99.1293.20 – Water buffalo.

ii) change the release recommendation from “Refer to CFIA – veterinary inspection” to “Refuse entry” for the following HS codes with the end use “In transit through Canada” originating from Japan:

05.11.10.1289 – Fresh bovine semen.
05.11.99.1292.20 – Water buffalo.

B) Chapter 08

Chapter 08 was published to:

i) change the release recommendation from “Refuse entry” to “Refer to CFIA-NISC” for the following HS codes with the end uses “Human consumption”, ”Other end uses”, “Samples for testing” and “Show or exhibition” originating from Ecuador:

08.06.10.4040.01 – Table grapes and hand harvested grapes for winemaking (fresh). (Vitis spp.).
08.06.10.4040.02 – Bulk grapes (including wine grapes for crush) (fresh). (Vitis spp.).
08.06.10.4050.01 – Table grapes and hand harvested grapes for winemaking (fresh). (Vitis spp.) – Organic.
08.06.10.4050.02 – Bulk grapes (including wine grapes for crush) (fresh). (Vitis spp.) – Organic.

ii) modify the import conditions of the following HS codes with the end use “Scientific use (research)” originating from Ecuador:

08.06.10.4040.01 – Table grapes and hand harvested grapes for winemaking (fresh). (Vitis spp.).
08.06.10.4040.02 – Bulk grapes (including wine grapes for crush) (fresh). (Vitis spp.).
08.06.10.4050.01 – Table grapes and hand harvested grapes for winemaking (fresh). (Vitis spp.) – Organic.
08.06.10.4050.02 – Bulk grapes (including wine grapes for crush) (fresh). (Vitis spp.) – Organic.
