CFIA-AIRS Updates October 7th 2020

A) Chapter 07 was published to:

i) change the release recommendation from “Approved” to “Refer to CFIA-NISC” and modify the registration type list for the following HS codes with the end uses “Human Consumption” and “Further Processing” originating from the state of California.

07.05.19.3028.10 - Romaine lettuce  
07.05.19.3028.11 - Romaine lettuce  - Organic.

ii) change the release recommendation from “Approved” to “Refer to CFIA-NISC” and modify the registration type list for the following HS codes with the end use “Human Consumption” originating from the United States.

07.05.19.3002 – Vegetable preparations containing less than 50% egg products.
07.05.19.3030 - Vegetable preparations - containing less than 50% egg products - Organic.

iii) modify the registration type list for the following HS codes with the end use “Human Consumption” originating from the United States.

07.05.19.3001 - Vegetable preparations with more than 2% but less than 20 % meat.
07.05.19.3003 - Vegetable preparations containing 50% or more egg products.
07.05.19.3029 - Vegetable preparations - with more than 2% but less than 20 % meat - Organic.
07.05.19.3031 - Vegetable preparations - containing 50% or more egg products - Organic.

This created a requirement version change for the following HS codes.

07.05.11.3001 - Vegetable preparations with more than 2% but less than 20 % meat.
07.05.11.3002 - Vegetable preparations containing less than 50% egg products.
07.05.11.3003 - Vegetable preparations containing 50% or more egg products.
07.05.11.3004 - Vegetable preparations - with more than 2% but less than 20 % meat - Organic.
07.05.11.3028 - Vegetable preparations - containing less than 50% egg products - Organic.
07.05.11.3029 - Vegetable preparations - containing 50% or more egg products - Organic.
07.09.70.3001 - Vegetable preparations with more than 2% but less than 20 % meat.
07.09.70.3002 - Vegetable preparations containing less than 50% egg products.
07.09.70.3003 - Vegetable preparations containing 50% or more egg products.
07.09.70.3032 - Vegetable preparations - with more than 2% but less than 20 % meat - Organic.
07.09.70.3033 - Vegetable preparations - containing less than 50% egg products - Organic.
07.09.70.3034 - Vegetable preparations - containing 50% or more egg products - Organic.

B) Chapter 20 was published to change the release recommendation from “Approved” to “Refer to CFIA-NISC”  and modify the registration type list for the following HS code with the end use “Human Consumption” originating from the United States.

20.05.99.7271 - Other salads

C) AIRS was published to add the following Registration type with the format Alphanumeric (A) and the Licence Permit Certificate or Other (LPCO) “Materialized”.
