CFIA NISC guidance for submitting paper packages

Please see the instructions below for submitting paper packages to CFIA NISC:

Submission Email

If submitting a paper package, please email it to:

Required Form and Documentation

Please submit your paper declaration using Form CFIA/ACIA 5272 – Request for Documentation Review, ensuring that you:

  • Use the current version of form CFIA/ACIA 5272 https://inspection.canada.ca/en/about-cfia/find-form/form-cfia-acia-5272
  • Type or clearly print the transaction code on the form
  • Ensure all fields are fully completed
  • Provide a valid email address for communication
  • Include the complete HS code, including OGD extension and end use
  • Do not use barcodes, label transaction codes, stickers, or labels on the form

 

Package Preparation

  • The CFIA/ACIA 5272 form must be the first page
  • Combine all supporting documents, including import documents and a commercial or Canada Customs invoice, into one single PDF file
  • Submit only one paper package per email
  • Ensure the file name and email subject line match the transaction number

 

Status Requests and Escalations

For status updates or escalation requests, please email:

  • Include the transaction number in the subject line
  • Indicate if the request is urgent or at the border
