CFIA Recommendation to prevent movement of barberry cultivars, into Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has added new content to its website regarding barberry as a biological obstacle to the control of black stem rust. The content includes a risk management decision document, which provides rationale for proposed next steps for program modernization, and a Notice to industry that communicates the CFIA's recommendation for movement restrictions for three Japanese barberry cultivars.
