As part of CFIA's ongoing efforts to improve client service please be advised that CFIA will be performing network maintenance Saturday, October 5, 2019, between 1:30AM (EST) and 11:59PM (EST).

Consequently, the following services may not be available for this period:

CFIA Website (www.inspection.gc.ca)
Automated Import Reference System (AIRS)
CFIA Automated Shipment Inspection Status Search Tool (ASISST)
AIRS Verification Service (AVS)
National Import Service Centre (NISC) Email ([email protected])

During this time clients are asked to send all CFIA electronic declarations using the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and send import documents (for EDI service options 463 and 471) to (613) 773-9999

If you require assistance or have any questions regarding AIRS and/or inspection status for US meat shipments please contact the National Import Service Centre (NISC) at: 1-800-835-4486.
