Clarification for sulphur dioxide gas used on prepackaged fresh grapes

The Fresh fruits or vegetables page of the Industry Labelling Tool (ILT) has been updated to clarify that the limit of 10 ppm of sulphur dioxide gas used on fresh grapes during storage and transportation applies to all prepackaged fresh grapes. This limit reflects the residual level of sulphites measured on fresh grapes at the point of sale to consumers.

La page des fruits ou légumes frais de l’Outil d’étiquetage en ligne pour l’industrie (OEI) a été mise à jour afin de clarifier que la concentration limite de 10 ppm d’anhydride sulfureux gazeux utilisé sur des raisins frais durant l’entreposage et lors du transport s’applique à tous les raisins frais préemballés. Cette limite reflète le niveau résiduel de sulfites mesuré sur les raisins frais au point de vente aux consommateurs.
