CSCB to appear before Parliamentary Committee to discuss CARM

On October 2, 2024, the CSCB will appear before the Parliamentary Standing Committee on International Trade (CIIT) to provide our industry’s perspectives on CARM readiness. CSCB’s input will help inform the committee’s debate on a motion to potentially delay CARM implementation to Spring 2025. The CSCB will be represented by Board Vice-chair Candace Sider, and you are able to watch the committee proceedings by selecting the ParlVu tab at the top right of the meeting notice located here: Notice of Meeting - CIIT (44-1) - No. 118 - House of Commons of Canada (ourcommons.ca).

Member principals received a very short survey on last Friday to seek views about whether an additional delay for CARM implementation is desirable. We encourage as many members as possible to complete the survey so that our messaging to the CIIT is an accurate reflection of members’ views.
