Customs Notice 23-29: Highway Sufferance Warehouse Closure (Cambridge, Ontario)

1. The purpose of this notice is to advise that:

  1. effective November 17th, 2023 the company located at 130 Werlich Drive, Waterloo, ON has surrendered their "BW" type highway sufferance warehouse licence.
  2. the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has decided not to advertise for a new highway sufferance warehouse at this port.

2. As such, effective November 17th, 2023 all bonded highway carriers transporting commercial freight for clearance at Cambridge, ON port of entry will have to declare at another highway sufferance warehouse.

Avis de douanes 23-29 : Fermeture d'entrepôt d'attente routier (Cambridge, Ontario)

1. L'objectif de cet avis est de vous informer :

  1. qu'à partir du 17 novembre 2023 l'entrepôt d'attente situé au 130 Werlich Dr., Cambridge, Ontario, abandonnera a abandonné son agrément pour l'exploitation d'un entrepôt d'attente routier de catégorie « BW » ;
  2. que l'Agence des services frontaliers du Canada (ASFC) du Canada a pris la décision de ne pas procéder à un appel d'offres pour un nouvel entrepôt d'attente routier à ce point d'entrée.

2. Par conséquent, veuillez noter que qu'à partir du 17 novembre 2023, tous les transporteurs routiers cautionnés transportant du fret commercial pour dédouanement à Cambridge, Ontario devront effectuer leur déclaration à un autre entrepôt d'attente routier aux fins de mainlevée.
