This memorandum has been revised to provide more precise policy direction to commercial air carriers. This update clarifies requirements for the Advance Passenger Information / Passenger Name Record (API/PNR) and Interactive Advance Passenger Information (IAPI) programs, and reflects the June 2020 implementation of the Air Exit program, which applies to outbound flights. In addition, a new note has been added regarding the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Le présent mémorandum a été révisé afin de fournir des directives précises aux transporteurs aériens commerciaux. Sa mise à jour vient préciser les exigences pour les programmes de l’information préalable sur les voyageurs (IPV), du dossier de passager (DP) et de l’information interactive préalable sur les voyageurs (IIPV). De plus, elle tient compte de la mise en œuvre en juin 2020 du Programme des sorties dans le mode aérien, qui s’applique aux vols sortant du Canada. Enfin, une nouvelle note a été ajoutée concernant la Loi sur la protection des renseignements personnels et les documents électroniques (LPRPDE).
