ECCC Off-road Small Spark-ignition (Gasoline) Engines Program /SWI IID

CBSA and ECCC have acknowledged that importers who are authorized under the Off-road Small Spark-ignition (Gasoline) Engines Program are currently unable to submit entries through the SWI IID as there is no compliance code that can be applied to these entries.

Effective immediately customs brokers/importers may use an interim process to affect release of these goods. Submit the IID with compliance code “XE99” for goods in the Off-Road Small Spark-Ignition (Gasoline) Engines Program and add the following statement to the commodity description line: “exemption due to bulk reporting privileges”.

A permanent solution of a new code is anticipated in September of 2020.
