Export of bivalve molluscs and bivalve mollusc products to Australia

Following successful negotiations with Australia, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is pleased to announce that a new health certificate has been finalized for the export of non-live bivalve molluscs and bivalve mollusc products to Australia:

  • Health Certificate for the Export of Bivalve Molluscs and Bivalve Mollusc Products for Human Consumption from Canada to Australia (CFIA/ACIA FA1068)

The new health certificate is implemented for all shipments of non-live bivalve molluscs and bivalve mollusc products departing Canada on or after February 16, 2026.

The Food Export Requirements Library – Australia page has been updated to provide information on the use of the new certificate.

L’exportation de mollusques bivalves et de produits à base de mollusques bivalves destinés

 

À la suite de négociations fructueuses avec l’Australie, l’Agence canadienne d’inspection des aliments (ACIA) est heureuse d’annoncer qu’un nouveau certificat sanitaire a été finalisé pour l’exportation de mollusques bivalves non vivants et de produits dérivés de mollusques bivalves vers l’Australie :

  • Certificat sanitaire pour l’exportation de mollusques bivalves et de produits à base de mollusques bivalves destinés à la consommation humaine du Canada vers l’Australie (CFIA/ACIA FA1068)

Le nouveau certificat sanitaire est mis en œuvre pour tous les envois de mollusques bivalves non vivants et de produits dérivés de mollusques bivalves quittant le Canada à compter du 16 février 2026.
