Export to China: Clarification on fishing area for live fish certificate

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has updated the China Fish and Seafood Export Requirements Library webpage to provide clarification on the inclusion of fishing area information on the Origin and Hygiene Certificate for live fish intended for export for human consumption from Canada to the People’s Republic of China (CFIA/ACIA 5584).

The fishing area information must be included on the certificate for live bivalve molluscs and live crab harvested from FAO area 67.

For the export of all other live fish products to China, the fishing area may be added by the exporter. If a fishing area is included, it must be added beside the header: Section II. “Origin of the fishery products”.

L’Agence canadienne d’inspection des aliments (ACIA) a mis à jour la page Web de la bibliothèque des exigences chinoises en matière d’exportation de poisson et de fruits de mer afin de fournir des précisions sur l’inclusion d’informations concernant la zone de pêche de la FAO sur le certificat d’origine et d’hygiène relatif aux poissons vivants provenant du Canada et destinés à être exportés vers la République populaire de Chine aux fins de consommation humaine (CFIA/ACIA 5584).

Les informations concernant la zone de pêche de la FAO doivent figurer sur le certificat pour les mollusques bivalves vivants et les crabes vivants de la zone FAO 67.

Pour l’exportation de tous les autres produits vivants vers la Chine, les informations sur la zone de pêche peuvent être incluses sur le certificat par l’exportateur, si requise. Si une zone de pêche est incluse, elle doit être ajoutée à côté de l’en-tête : Section II. « Origine des produits de la pêche ».
