Export of food products containing egg ingredients to the United States

Effective October 10, 2024 the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services (APHIS) will not require a certificate or an import permit for the export of fully finished, non-shelf stable food products containing egg ingredients to the United States.

Please note that if there is a new highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) zone in commercial poultry, USDA APHIS will impose the import permit requirement or some other measures for importing these food products.

The import requirements can change without notice. It is the exporter’s responsibility to confirm the US import requirements with their importer prior to shipment.

The CFIA is considering inactivating the health certificate CFIA/ACIA FA1002 that is being issued for these products. A notification will be issued to this effect.

L’exportation d’aliments contenant des ingrédients d’œufs vers les États-Unis

À compter du 10 octobre 2024, les services d’inspection de la santé animale et végétale (APHIS) du ministère de l’Agriculture des États-Unis (USDA) n’exigeront pas de certificat ou de permis d’importation pour l’exportation de produits alimentaires entièrement finis et non stables contenant des ingrédients à base d’œufs vers les États-Unis.

Veuillez noter que s’il existe une nouvelle zone de grippe aviaire hautement pathogène (HPAI) dans la volaille commerciale, l’USDA APHIS imposera l’exigence d’un permis d’importation ou d’autres restrictions pour l’importation de ces produits alimentaires.

Les exigences d’importation peuvent changer sans préavis. Il incombe à l’exportateur de confirmer les exigences d’importation américaines auprès de son importateur avant l’expédition.

L’ACIA considère la possibilité d’inactiver le certificat sanitaire ACIA/CFIA FA1002 qui est délivré pour ces produits. Une notification sera envoyée à cet effet.
