Canadian businesses now have access to two free trade agreements when doing business with the UK:
- Canada-UK Trade Continuity Agreement (Canada-UK TCA)
- Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP)
Since September 1, 2026, you can choose the agreement that best meets your business needs, whether you are:
- exporting goods
- providing services
- investing
- travelling for business
The Canada-UK TCA will remain in force after the UK joins the CPTPP.
