Federal government funding available for BC businesses exporting to the United States

The Government of Canada, through Pacific Economic Development Canada, has launched a program to provide up to $5,000 to British Columbia (BC) businesses seeking to become CUSMA-compliant in order to export to the United States (US). As noted in the attached brochure, small and medium-size businesses registered in BC may apply for reimbursement for specified costs associated to becoming CUSMA-compliant, including seeking guidance from a customs broker.

Members with importer clients who may be eligible for the program can consult  CUSMA Compliance Advisory Services Initiative - Export Navigator or contact Jordyn Strong [email protected]) to learn more. There is also a December 10th webinar (not hosted by CSCB) that will offer a clear walkthrough of eligible CUSMA compliance services and an opportunity to ask questions. The webinar registration link is here: Webinar Registration - Zoom
