Government tenders get new home - Buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders

Following is a message from Public Works and Government Services Canada.

On June 1, 2013, federal government tenders (tender notices and bid solicitation documents), currently on MERX, will move to a Government of Canada Web site, Buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders.

No subscription required, free and anonymous single window access to federal government tenders and procurement data are some of the benefits of the new site.

The next issue of the Public Works and Government Services Canada, Acquisitions Branch newsletter, Procurement Today, which I will send to you in the coming days, will describe some of the benefits of the new Buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders.

I encourage you to visit Buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders now to get familiar with the helpful search engine. Tenders will be added on June 1!

Please note that as of June 1, 2013, suppliers must go to Buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders to check for amendments to any tender opportunities that they have been following on MERX prior to June 1.

You can also visit our Calendar of Events to register for a webinar titled “Finding opportunities on the new Buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders” to learn more about the functionality of the new site.

The national InfoLine (1-800-811-1148) would be pleased to answer any of your questions.

We know you will find the new site makes it easier for you to do business with the Government of Canada!
