Import permit required for uncooked pork from Spain

Importers are reminded that as of December 2025 an animal health import permit is required for uncooked pork from Spain. This includes cured products such as hams and sausages. The import permit is different than the Safe Food for Canadians Licence and must be obtained BEFORE the shipment arrives in Canada.
