Joint statement by the Government of Canada, the Government of Australia, and the Government of India

Australia, Canada, and India have launched the Australia‑Canada‑India Technology and Innovation (ACITI) Partnership, a trilateral initiative to strengthen cooperation on critical and emerging technologies while complementing existing bilateral efforts. The partnership will leverage the countries’ natural strengths with a focus on green energy innovation, resilient supply chains—particularly in critical minerals—and advancing strategic collaboration toward net zero. It also aims to drive diversification of supply chains for a secure and sustainable future, while exploring the development and mass adoption of artificial intelligence to improve citizens’ lives. Officials from all three nations will convene in early 2026 to advance the initiative.
