Minister Sidhu speaks with United Kingdom’s Minister of State

Canada’s Minister of International Trade, Maninder Sidhu, met with UK Minister for Trade, Chris Bryant, to discuss advancing the UK’s accession to the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP). Sidhu noted Canada’s recent legislative steps toward ratifying the UK’s membership, emphasizing both nations’ commitment to rules-based trade. The ministers also reaffirmed their dedication to deepening bilateral trade and investment through continued collaboration in the Canada-UK Economic and Trade Working Group, aligning with the shared goals of Prime Ministers Carney and Starmer.
