Minister Sidhu to visit Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates to promote Canadian trade and investment

Minister Maninder Sidhu will lead a senior Canadian business delegation to Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE from January 7–14, 2026, with a strong focus on expanding Canada’s trade presence in the Gulf region. Throughout the visit, he will meet with government and industry leaders to open new markets for Canadian companies, strengthen commercial partnerships, and advance Canada’s trade diversification goals. The trip will also include participation in industry events, progress on trade and investment agreement discussions, and visits to sites showcasing successful Canadian-led projects that highlight growing economic ties.
