New negotiated certificate for the export of pet food to Serbia

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has negotiated a new certificate (HA1079) for the export of pet food, other than canned pet food, to Serbia.

The certificate is or will be shortly available through your local CFIA office and may be used immediately.

Serbia follows EU regulations. Exporters wishing to export to Serbia must be listed in TRACES-NT, and all suppliers and storage facilities must meet the same requirements as those applicable to exports to the EU.

The Guideline for preparing export certificates for the Canadian pet food industry will be updated accordingly to reflect the requirements for pet food that must be included in the exporter’s declaration.
