Notice of conclusion of expiry review investigation: Concrete Reinforcing Bar 3 (RB3 2026 ER)

On April 20, 2026, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT), pursuant to subsection 76.03(1) of the Special Import Measures Act (SIMA), initiated an expiry review of its finding made on June 4, 2021, in inquiry NQ-2020-004, concerning the dumping of certain concrete reinforcing bar originating in or exported from the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Republic of Indonesia, the Italian Republic, the Federation of Malaysia, the Republic of Singapore, and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

As a result, on April 21, 2026, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) initiated an expiry review investigation to determine whether the expiry of the finding is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping of the goods.

The expiry review investigation has now been completed and today, pursuant to paragraph 76.03(7)(a) of SIMA, the CBSA has determined that the expiry of the finding:

  1. is likely to result in the continuation or resumption of dumping of such goods originating in or exported from Algeria, Egypt, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam

A Statement of Reasons that contains additional details concerning the determination made by the CBSA will be issued within 15 days.
