Notice of extension of investigations: Thermoformed Molded Fibre Tableware (TMFT 2025 IN)

The Canada Border Services Agency has today extended the preliminary phase of the investigations respecting the alleged injurious dumping and subsidizing of certain thermoformed molded fiber tableware originating in or exported from the People’s Republic of China.

The Special Import Measures Act (SIMA) provides that, under normal circumstances, the preliminary stage of the investigations shall be completed within 90 days of the date of initiation. However, due to the complexity or novelty of the issues presented in the investigations, number of persons involved, and difficulty of obtaining satisfactory evidence, the period has been extended to 135 days, pursuant to subsection 39(1) of SIMA.
