The Canada Border Services Agency has today extended the preliminary phase of the investigations respecting the alleged injurious dumping and subsidizing of truck bodies originating in or exported from the People’s Republic of China.
Due to the complexity or novelty of issues presented, the variety of goods involved, and the difficulty in obtaining satisfactory evidence in the investigations, the period has been extended from 90 days to 135 days, pursuant to subsection 39(1) of SIMA.
Consequently, the decision to issue preliminary determinations or to terminate the investigations with respect to some or all of the goods will be made on or before March 6, 2026. A revised investigation schedule is now available.
