Please be advised that restrictions due to Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza in Brazil have been lifted as of December 24, 2025. Poultry meat that has not been fully cooked from birds slaughtered between May 12, 2025 and December 23, 2025 is not eligible for import into Canada. The Automated Import Reference System will be updated as of January 8, 2025 and shipments of eligible poultry meat may begin to enter Canada as of that date.
Shipments of poultry meat from Brazil that have not been fully cooked must be accompanied by an animal health import permit and by documentation signed by an official veterinarian showing the slaughter date. Reprise des importations de viande de volaille en provenance du Brésil
Veuillez noter que les restrictions liées à l’épidémie d’influenza aviaire hautement en Brésil ont été levées le 24 décembre 2025. La viande de volaille qui n’a pas été entièrement cuite provenant de volailles abattus entre le 12 mai 2025 et le 23 décembre 2025 ne sont pas admissible à l’importation au Canada. Le Système automatisé de référence à l'importation sera mis à jour à compter du 8 janvier 2025 et les expéditions de viande de volaille admissible peuvent commencer à entrer au Canada à partir de cette date.
Les expéditions de viande de volaille provenant du Brésil qui n’ont pas été entièrement cuites doivent être accompagnées d’un permis d’importation sanitaire animale et d’un document signé par un vétérinaire officiel indiquant la date d’abattage.
