Public Safety Canada would like to remind stakeholders of the following, as related to Canada’s Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act (Supply Chains Act):
- This year's reporting deadline is May 31, 2025.
- The reporting process and requirements are slightly different for entities and government institutions. Please ensure the appropriate guidance is reviewed.
- Updates have been made to the November 2024 guidance regarding key terms such as assets, goods, and importer. Link to Nov'24 guidance: https://www.publicsafety.gc.ca/cnt/cntrng-crm/frcd-lbr-cndn-spply-chns/index-en.aspx.
- Plan sufficient time to finalize your reports well ahead of the reporting deadline to avoid late submissions.
- An online questionnaire must be completed at the time of filing, review the questions in advance here: https://www.publicsafety.gc.ca/cnt/cntrng-crm/frcd-lbr-cndn-spply-chns/sbmt-rprt-en.aspx.
- For entities submitting a joint report, only one entity should complete the online questionnaire on behalf of all entities covered by the report.
