Removal of Suspension of Import of Poultry from France

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has completed a joint evaluation of France’s Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) vaccination program with the United States Department of Agriculture. As a result of this evaluation, the import of live birds and poultry that have not been vaccinated for HPAI, as well as hatching eggs and live birds and poultry sourced from flocks that have not been vaccinated against HPAI, are once again permitted from France. Please note that the Automated Import Reference System (AIRS) will be updated shortly.

L’Agence canadienne d’inspection des aliments (ACIA) a effectué une évaluation conjointe du programme français de vaccination contre l’influenza aviaire hautement pathogène (IAHP), avec le département de l’Agriculture des États-Unis. À l’issue de cette évaluation, l’importation d’oiseaux et de volailles vivants non vaccinés contre l’IAHP, ainsi que l’importation d’œufs à couver, d’oiseaux et de volailles vivants, provenant de troupeaux qui n’ont pas été vaccinés contre l’IAHP, sont à nouveau autorisés de la France. Veuillez noter que le système automatisé de référence à l’importation (SARI) sera mis à jour sous peu.
