Resumption of Canadian beef export to China

January 23, 2026

Please be advised that China has resumed import of Canadian beef from eligible Canadian meat establishments registered in the China Import Food Enterprise Registration (CIFER) system. The products must comply with all applicable existing Chinese import requirements outlined in the Meat Export Library.

For questions and queries, operators are advised to follow up with their local CFIA inspection staff at the establishments.

Les produits doivent être conformes à toutes les exigences chinoises applicables en matière d’importation énoncées dans la Bibliothèque des exigences en matière d'exportation d'aliments.
