Tribunal Initiates Expiry Review—Certain Small Power Transformers from Chinese Taipei and Korea

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal initiated an expiry review (RR-2026-007) of its finding made on December 24, 2021, in inquiry NQ-2021-003, to determine if the expiry of the finding is likely to lead to continued or resumed dumping of certain small power transformers from Chinese Taipei and Korea and is likely to result in injury to the domestic industry.

No later than February 26, 2027, the Canada Border Services Agency will determine if there is a likelihood of resumed or continued dumping. In the event of a positive determination, the Tribunal will determine, no later than August 5, 2027, whether the continued or resumed dumping is likely to result in injury to the domestic industry.
