Trump Trade Chief Pushes for Order After Rocky Tariff Rollout

US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, reported to be a "cool-headed, legal-minded acolyte of Trump’s first-term trade adviser Robert Lighthizer" was confirmed to the USTR role in late February, suggesting that his new role could offer a slight reprieve from the recent U.S. tariff chaos.

This Bloomberg article says that USTR Greer is asking for public comment on the reciprocal duties, which is the formal process that allows the trade office to receive feedback from stakeholders. It's reported that USTR Greer plans to then use that feedback when creating the tariff program. This partnership with the public had been missing from the previous roll-outs of tariffs, announced in recent months.
