1. The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) wishes to advise of an amendment to the Customs Tariff 2026 (Tariff).

2. The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) enters into force for the United-Kingdom on September 1, 2026. As a result, eligible goods from the United-Kingdom imported into Canada are entitled to the Comprehensive and Progressive United Kingdom Tariff (CPUKT) tariff treatment as of September 1, 2026.

3. The T2026-2 Customs Tariff reflects amendments to the list of countries to include the CPUKT tariff treatment for the United-Kingdom, the Channel Islands and Isle of Man.This tariff treatment is the Comprehensive and Progressive United Kingdom Tariff (CPUKT) – Code 35. The T2026-2 also reflects the applicable duty rates for CPUKT tariff treatment throughout the Customs Tariff, covering tariff items in Chapters 1 to 99.

4. Please note that the T2026-2 Customs Tariff is being published exceptionally in HTML and Access formats only. For the Access files, the changes are indicated with the number 1 in the change column. The PDF version will be published at a later date.

5. The Customs Tariff T2026-2 is now available in all formats on the Canada Border Service Agency website as of September 16, 2026.

6. An importer may request a ruling from the CBSA if there are doubts as to the correct origin, tariff classification, or value for duty of goods. The procedures for obtaining a ruling are outlined in Memorandum D11-11-1: National Customs Rulings (NCR), Memorandum D11-11-3: Advance Rulings for Tariff Classification, or Memorandum D11-4-16: Advance Rulings Under Free Trade Agreements.
