Updates to directive D-18-01

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency's import directive, D-18-01: Phytosanitary import requirements for propagative material of Rubus and Ribes species from all origins has been updated to align with recent changes to U.S. import requirements.

In this first revision of D-18-01, published on July 22, 2019, a second additional declaration option has been added to allow for direct indexing of the imported plants. The list of indexing procedures authorized by the CFIA for Candidatus Phytoplasma rubi (Rubus stunt phytoplasma) has also been updated.

The requirements of D-18-01 will come into force on August 12, 2019.
