30 July 2009 EICS: EDI issues on July 28, 2009 With respect to the following message from EICS regarding Tuesday's outage, the CSCB had contacted both CBSA and DFAIT once we were made aware of the outage. During our discussion with DFAIT, we were advised that the outage affected only those permit requests sent to EDI and that those who use the web to apply for permits were not affected, except for the 15 minutes when all systems, EDI and web, were down.
