In an effort to modernize operations at the National Import Service Centre (NISC) and the NISC Satellite Office (NSO), effective February 15, 2012, all importers are to electronically complete the ‘Request for Documentation Review’ form (CFIA/ACIA 5272). In an effort to modernize operations at the National Import Service Centre (NISC) and the NISC Satellite Office (NSO), the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has implemented new technology to support the process of transmitting import documentation. We are pleased to announce that the CCS (US) designation has been added to the list of designations for CTCS (Certified Trade Compliance Specialist) grandfathering. Currently, the CTCS designation recognizes the existing expertise of those who hold the CCS, PFF, CITT, CITP and CCS (US) designations. Grandfathering, available until March 31, 2012, means that one can attain the CTCS designation without the requirement of enrolling in the CTCS program of study.
