Customs Tariff 2012 - Update

Members may have noticed that some of the items in the chapter-by-chapter PDF version of the 2012 Customs tariff, published this morning, are complete only to eight digits. As well, some of the 2012 items in the concordance table are not reflected in the tariff. This is due to the additional tariff changes announced by the Department of Finance on Sunday. As noted this morning, these changes will be included in T2011-4. CBSA expects an updated accordance table, taking into account the T2011-4 changes, from Statistics Canada shortly.

EICS: Connectivity Unavailable with CBSA

Connectivity between EICS and CBSA is down due to technical problems. An investigation is underway, and further information will be provided as it becomes available. __________________________________________________

The Canadian dollar rebounded from a seven-week low against its U.S. counterpart on Monday as the euro and world stocks rallied on hopes that European leaders would make progress on resolving the credit crisis.
